Airbag fail to illuminate during ignition...

Recommended Posts

Help! I'm stuck at my store because my car won't start. Basically, it's like I'm not pushing the clutch down all the way. The only thing I noticed is that during the ignition sequence, the

- illumination fails to light up during ignition circuit activation

(Got it from the manual)

Does anyone know what the cause could be? Does it mean that the car thinks it's been in an accident and a switch is activated to not allow it to start? I tried to disconnect the battery for awhile and reconnect, but it doesn't help. Any suggestions before I call for a tow?

Thanks,

David

Nope, battery is fine. Any idea what it means when the airbag light:

- illumination fails to light up during ignition circuit activation

I know that there are many reasons it would stay on, such as the seat belt buckle. But since it doesn't even come on during the initial startup, I'm thinking that something in the DME may be not letting the ignition to proceed.

Anyway, if someone could shed some light on the causes for the airbag illumination fails to light up during ignition circuit activation, I would be greatful.

By the way, just had it towed to the dealer.

Thanks,
