Replace Tiptronic with Manual 6 Speed

I have a 1999 911 996 with a Tiptronic transmission. I really like manual transmissions and I would like to know if anyone has replaced a Tiptronic with a 6 speed manual? It would be nice if someone else has done this and has any information.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Given the number of components that need to be changed, this seems like a massive job. If it were me, I would just sell your Tip car and buy another manual car - lots of good deals on 996s out there (especially 1st gen).

I would have to agree with both postings. It looks like a complicated undertaking. If the Tip that I have were bad, I might consider it as a project, but it is not and I have a lot of other things that are more productive.

looks like a week to do.

Much cheaper to buy a manual.
