Adaptive sport seats in a 996

Recommended Posts

I have a 2001 996 Cabriolet with the standard power memory seats (no heat). A couple of years back, I did some work with Lear Corp., they are the manufacturer of Porsche seats. They surprised me with a set custom manufactured 997 heated Adaptive Sport Seats as a gift. The only difference between the factory 997 seats and what they sent me is they removed the airbags from the seats since the 996 has the airbags in the door. Anyway, the wiring harness for the seats is completely different than the 996 harness.

I would like to install the seats but every place I have taken them Im told it cannot be done. I could care less about the memory function of the seats as I am the only driver, but I would love the heat option to work. Anybody know how this could be done? These seats have been sitting in my office for three years now and its driving me nuts I cant get them installed.
