Pcm update

Recommended Posts

When i picked up my porsche boxster 3.2 S ANNIVERSARY EDITION all was good accept for the sat nav, no postcode entry and out of date (2004) For the postcode i used my smart phone and went to Uk street map coordinate converter which changes your postcode in to lat/long which you can enter directly in to sat nav. There is very littile info on Pcm units on web,I was not willing to pay Porsche the cost of 3 tomtoms for a updated map cd. But managed to buy a new one off my penpal mate who did not need GB map.:cheers:I found that there are four pcm head units pcm1,pcm2(mine)pcm2.1and pcm3.you also have firmware updates which you find by pressing main and trip at the same time, mine was version 3.0 Now i am happy with the sat nav with a 2010 map it is good enough to leave my tom tom in the cupboard.B)
