2000 -2004 roof swap

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have a 2004 roof and frame I would like to put on my 2000 Boxster S as the rear window has split. Issue is the 2004 frame has a broken part and the part isnt on the 2000 frame. I am guessing the frame had major changes when the glass window was introduced and one of the main pivots seems to have changed from a large part to two smaller parts. One of the smaller parts on my new frame is broken and I am having trouble trying to replace it as it doesnt have a 986 part number on it and the 2004 PET I am looking at seems to have the older mechanism diagrams. Can anyone offer any advice or assistance please?

986 pivot I have on my car

986 mark 2 (?) pivot from my replacement frame - broken part has the number 1 043 070 00 on it
