04 cayenne v6 sunroof closing problem?

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys, only just found this site after 5 years of owning porsches! i must be mad. so much info on here,i could have saved loads by not going to the stealers!

Basically i developed a fault with my sunroof. i openened it the other day, whet to close it but it just keeps re-opening again? no matter where i turn the sunroof knob to, it does the same thing, closes then re-opens!

i had a look in the manual and used the key in the console to close it manually but want to fix it. any ideas?

thank you

...p.s also developed a fault with my n/s/f (rhd model) window...i can operate it perfectly from the drivers side, but it does not work from the passengers side?? ive replaceed the switch (which did not work) and all connectors behind the panel are in tact...

If you can manually move the sunroof from limit to limit without feeling any binding then you need to have the system checked for codes as there might be problem with the motor position sensor or it needs to be recalibrated. As to the power window, the only problem I have seen is with the switches failing.
