Jerking Issue when downshifting

Today was driving to dinner and making a corner and downshifting from 3rd to 2nd. When i was coming out of the corner, there was jerkiness as if my gear was in too high. For a while i thought i had went accidently into 4th gear but that was not the case. After dinner about 2 hrs later, i again had this problem when coming out of a corner....i am wondering what is wrong.

I just changed my headers, x-pipe and cats but have not done any ECU reflash. My car has only 18K miles on it.

Anyone have any idea what is the problem here?

If the "jerk" just lasts a split second or two right after you shift (in any gear) and then it is fine I would first check the motor/transmission mounts and the suspension.

Unfortunately if it only happens with this one gear then I would say you could have a gearbox issue.

Does your car have PSM (stability management), that could also play a role? - but again should affect all gear selections.
