Engine knocking

2003 Targa with 105,000 miles . The car runs perfect, but i notice three times this week when starting and only when putting in reverse im getting like 3-4 knocking sounds from what it seems like the motor. Again the car drives fine and normal. It is only during cold starts and right when it is engaged into reverse.

How long do you wait after starting the car before shifting?

If you wait a little longer for oil to fill up all the various parts in the engine does it still make the noise when you shift?

How long did the car sit before you started it again cold?

Does it make the noise regardless of whether you shift or not?
