I have just got a 2003 Turbo, very clean and full service history.

One problem though, the switch on the drivers side door to control the child safety in the rear (doors & windows), doesn't seem to work, the light on the switch goes on only when it is depressed, then nothing. Holding the switch down, you can still operate the rear windows & locking.

Has anyone else had this problem?

It should block operation of the rear window switches in the rear doors but you can control them still from the drivers main switch panel. There is a separate mechanical lock out procedure for the door latches.

The problem is that the drivers switch wont block the rear window switches in the rear doors, Is there a relay or something that controls this that I can check?

I know that there is the usual mechanical lock to prevent the children opening the door from inside, this I have already done.

Try unplugging the switch and plugging it in? I had the passenger door window switch not work but would work from the drivers side. After replacing the switch, nothing, I finally pulled the door panel off and found the main electrical harness was loose and as soon as I plugged it in everything worked. My guess slamming the door shut loosened the harness.
