2009 Cayenne Turbo S erratic performance

I have a 2009 Cayenne Turbo S that I'm experiencing erratic performance with, that is, sometimes the acceleration is not what it should be.

When it's doing that, I also get the impression that the engine is lugging when running at relatively low speeds (50-60 mph) in 6th gear.

If I put it in "Sport" mode it seems to be behaving normally.

When I first got the car, the dealer discovered that it had been programmed ("flashed") as a Turbo instead of a Turbo S. That was thought

to be the culprit, but the problem still seems to occur.

Anybody have any experience with this?
