Hi. I have a 2008 Cayenne Turbo with 40,000 km. I have noticed recently ( twice) that the suspension height level of the car changed without me changing it!! It just went up and down from the back while waiting at a traffic light!! Does that mean anything? Should I send it for service? Could that mean an air leak?

I also have another question - is it ok to drive the car on the low height level or should it always be on normal?

I am new to Porsch (2 years) and I really appreciate your help and inputs.

Regards

Yanal

Not sure about why your level changed. It should change from normal to low at higher speeds (I think around 115~120Km) after you exceed this speed for a certain amount of time but never while stopped. It is definitely ok to drive at low height, many Cayenne owners as the lower center of gravity slighly improves handling. You could run by a dealer and see if they could run the test equipment (PIWIS) on it to see if they see a fault.

Height adjustment when stopped can happen for minor height corrections, this is normal, but any large changes would be suspect.

As a side note, If you run the Cayenne extensively at a height level different to the height setting that was used when your wheel alignment was carried out, you will get more camber wear issues on your tyres.
