Does anyone make an aftermarket towing kit

Recommended Posts

I'm not planning on towing anything, but incase it comes up in the life of my cayenne(I did not order the towing kit due to the weight)...

Is there an aftermarket solution that does not require cutting or replacing the factory bumper?

If not does anyone work for a customizing shop, it seems to me this might be something people will be looking for in the future especially as the people buy second hand cayennes and want to tow with them.

Thanks,

Corey

I fitted a kit designed for the TReg, my rennlist gallery has pictures of the process. You can buy the parts for less that $200, its only rated at 6000Lb's but that was enough for my needs.

The hardest part is getting the electronic control unit in, and the car programmed to recognise it has a tow kit. In the end I saved about only $500 because I had to pay the dealer to do that.

You do have to cut the rear skirt to allow the carrier out and the electrics in. Not a big issue.

Thanks, but I didn't want to have to cut anything so my dealer was able to add it to my order. Figure $630 bucks on a 75k vehicle is nothing.

Cheers,

Corey
