Hello everyone,

Slowly solving my front suspension rattles on my 2006 C4S ( 80 KMiles), I now start to have very heavy noises from the back when hitting bad road

It happens all the time when I brake on a manhole that wouldn't be at the same level as the road, or accelerate on a bad road

The noise is more like Bang than clunk...

I am thinking of the trailing arm

I took some pictures of the bushings of the rear suspension, they look cracked to me

The rear suspension can cost me a fortune to renovate, and I want to proceed piece by piece

Any idea?

Thanks

Michel

Hello Michel,

I understand it's an old post, but I'm having the "same" noise problem with my C2S - 2006, and would be very glad to know the end of the story if there is one ...

I have a suspension rattle noise (both front & rear .. difficult to locate) that I could also describe as "hockey puck in a bucket".

But .... after a while (i.e. 25 km on a highway), the noise is drastically reduced (almost dissapeared) when I come back to lower speed.

I didn't check yet if the noise also dissapear after 25 km at slow speed.

Any information is welcome !

Have a nice day and greetings from Belgium.

Usually referers to the control arms (2 on the front and 2 on the rear)while braking, however the noise does not improve after a while. It is important to define the complaint as specific as possible.
