I have noticed that in the morning after the car has sat all night that on start up I hear a buzz. It sort of sounds tinny like a exhaust pipe and comes from drivers side. It goes away with in seconds.

After the car warms up it either on start up is not there or is much less noticeable.

Is this normal behavior? The car has 52k on it. I have only owned the car for about a month so don't know what to expect.

Sorry I accidentally posted this in the 997 section. I would move it but really not sure how. So feel free to ignore this post :)

Sounds like you might have a failing or failed baffle inside your muffler. Or perhaps a loose exhaust bolt somewhere.

Have someone start the car cold while you are looking at and holding the muffer, it should become apparent where the noise is coming from.

Thanks and I should add that the build sheet says it is Stainless Steel exhaust.. Not sure how to prove that it is. I use to try and stick a magnet to Stainless and if it did not stick I could be pretty sure it was not normal "Rusty prone" steel, But I notice now that the Stainless Steel BBQ grills a magnet will stick to so that throws off my test :(
