TT wheel "makeover"

Recommended Posts

I want to keep my stock TT wheels but would like to give them a makeover. I was thinking about having the center spoke (of each of the 5 spokes) painted the same graphite color as the inside of the rim. I did some photoshop work to see how it would look. (this is not my car but almost identical.)

I think it would look really nice...It keeps the classic Porsche "5 spoke" feel but tones down the "busy" design of the 997 TT wheel. Of course I would have this done by a professional wheel shop..

Also... Does anyone know the color code for that grey? (Or where or how I could find it?)

Opinions?

Thanks,

Phillip

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen. I think I will mock it up with Black tape or "Plasticoat" to see if like it.. I was thinking about powder coating them dark grey but everyone has that......

I would love to have a new set of HRE's but at at about $3k+ a corner with tires.... I don't think so.....

I like the idea, it's yours...make it you. I agree with prior post to go darker. Why not match the body color if you have a black car?

I have a 997 TT with Tan interior. Was thinking of matching interior color to wheel portions that are grey now. Working on a photoshop of this idea and will post here soon.
