Electric parking brake 958 cayenne turbo

Recommended Posts

When rolling down the streets or into a driveway, I am hearing a squeaky sound, but only at very low speeds. The car makes no noise whatsoever, until the other night when I was driving slowly away after dropping off a relative at her house. I had the windows down and I heard very squeaky noises, as if the pads are worn, but I was not braking, I was giving it gas but was going slowly because the streets were narrow. I didn't think too much of it until I came home into my driveway, and I rolled slowly inside and I also heard the same noise.

Does anyone have insight into what the problem could be? My guess is that it has to do with the electric parking brake, and it was not properly released. That day I parallel parked on the streets and the brake would automatically light up, and I would turn it off, but somehow it seems that the brakes did not fully release from the rear wheels? Another concern is that I drove very hard on the highway until I started hearing the noise, which was already late at night, now hoping that I didn't further damage anything!
