System Error: CD Changer not available

Recommended Posts

I currently have a 2004 CTT and every time I start my car, on my PCM I get "system error CD changer not available". I have the CDC option available on my car but I don't have a CD changer. I don't know if the person who owned it before me took it out or never had it. I was wondering, is there anyway to take this error message off? I'm not interested in getting a CD changer, but would love to get this error code taken off.

Thanks for the help!

it can be coded out using PIWIS at a dealer or an indy if you can find one. it will be about an hours labor. Suspicious that there maybe another device in the system for ipod or phone tho

Thanks for the advice. I took off the whole side paneling in the back and found the power plug for the cd changer but not the fiber optic cable. I think it'll be too much effort to look through the entire MOST loop. I think I'll try to find an auxiliary cable or ipod connection and go that way instead. Thanks again, I'll be taking your advice and hooking it up to a piwis to clear that.
