My 2000 S has the stock DSP unit w/ door speakers and rear speakers it sounds really good with just a Becker Traffic Pro installed (replaced a Sony, amazing what a difference the head unit can make. Hooked up my mp3 player through the aux in so I have access to 500 albums. I've also heard good things about a Nakamichi that blends in well with interior. I can look up model # and source if you're interested.
