Please educate me on lowering modules...

Recommended Posts

I have done a lot of research, but definitive answers are few and far between on the existing threads... I really like the idea of the lowering modules, but I do have a few questions. First, with a lowering module, are you able to achieve the full up position as in stock form? I have readicon1.png a lot about the Techart module which seems to have a "sleep mode" so when you park, it dumps all of the bags to the bump stops, do any of the other modules do this same thing? Is there a module that will give you any higher than stock heights? (I recall reading somewhere that the techart module will allow for 20mm higher than stock and 50mm lower than stock, does that sound right or even possible?

Thanks!

I bought a Techart module last month from Germany for my 05 CTT. It was used and, per the seller, did not require ant PIWIS calibration etc. plug and play.

Using the standard ride hight controls, the highest setting is a lot higher than stock, the lowest a lot lower than stock once the module is installed. When the car is locked it automatically drops the car to the lower than stock load level.

Not sure of the actual measurements beyond stock offhand.

I got the Techart module as it did not require any splicing. I had to wait a while until one came up on eBay for reasonable money.
