Oil Leak

Recommended Posts

I have a small oil leak, about 5-6 drops, after a 7 mile drive, aft of the headers and turbos on my 996tt/x50. I had spilled some oil during an oil change about 6 months ago, but used a couple of cans of brake cleaner since to try to clean out any residual oil. Did not leak at all prior to the oil change. Anyone know the possible sources of the leak in that area, seals, etc?

BTW, the car only has 10,000 miles on the clock and is a 2004 cab.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Take a picture of the area of the leak…Give yourself some more time, because you don't drive your car often, to evaluate since you had an overspill while refilling the reservoir. I'm pretty sure it is related….
