Power seat swap 2001 986

Newbie here, would appreciate any advice. 2001 boxster with manual slide seats (power back), which are shot. Picked up a pristine set of 2002 8 way power seats from a totaled boxster. Plugs are straight up plug and play. Passenger seat works perfect, drivers seat seems to have no power. Before I start cutting wires, can anyone advise as to what I need to do to get the drivers side working? Thanks.

Check the fuses for the driver's side seat.

Put the old seat back in, works fine. Upon closer inspection, even though the plugs mate perfectly, all of the wires do not match up across the plugs. Can I rework one side of the plugs so the same color wires match? Thanks for any guidance. Believe me, I searched but could not find a reference to this particular fitment.

Can you plug the new driver's side seat into the passenger side and see what you get? Perhaps something is amiss in your new replacement driver's seat. PM sent!

Found this video, explains the procedure perfectly. Made the harness in 5 minutes, works perfect!!
