Rainsensor - sensitivity adjustment

Recommended Posts

Short rundown;

997.1/2006, european, Pcm 2.1 with sport chrono - and rainsensor.

Trouble: rainsensor is to....sensible. To say the very least. In the "least sensible" position on the adjustment-button, situated on the lever, it will not only come on / be activated with very little rain (which is not a problem) but will - without exception - after a couple of strokes/swings by the wiperblades go to topspeed on the wiperblades. No matter the amount of rain. Sometimes it will - along the way - go back and take a couple of strokes at normal speed...and will then return to warp-speed.

Is there a way to reset sensitivity on the sensor...or is it just one of those: it is as it is, learn to live with it.

Mine can do similar but generally settles down after a bit. It will go very fast if you are too! May be obvious but have you tried really cleaning the sensor area of the screen? It does work on the reflected beam being diverted by water droplets on the surface and dirt will confuse it.
