986S no wipers or screen wash

Hello all,

 

Yesterday the wife took her 986S for a run and the wipers stopped working.  When I went to put the car in the garage, they moved to the top of the sweep and stopped, and when I went to turn the car off, they almost went all the way down but not quite.  The screen wash isn't working either.  Car is a UK RHD 2002 986S.

 

I've checked the 25A fuse and it seems ok, and I've pulled the intermittent relay out and that's made no difference either.  I did read on another thread here that the wipers should work on/off without it fitted.

 

I have found loads of info on here about wipers playing up but nothing that answers this specific issue :)

 

Where do I look next?  Control stalk?
