My car died the other day - normal driving, not even in sport mode. I pulled into a parking spot and it simply shut down. I had it towed to a Porsche dealer and they quickly found a blown 15 amp fuse under the rear deck (back seat), and called it a coil fuse. They put it a new fuse and everything works great - pretty sad when a 20 cent fuse takes down a $13ok car. Anyway, they had the car for days but apparently had not time to do any diagnosis. I picked up my car today - everything works great, but my confidence is shaken - it could happen again at any minute. I have 3 spare fuses in my car, but I haven't taken the rear deck off. The dealer told me it is very easy to do, with no tools required, and they even marked the fuse for me. 2 questions - has anyone ever heard of anything like this before? and has anyone taken out the rear deck to get to that fuse / relay panel before - is it fairly easy to do?
