Tiptronic Cayman Console.pdf

 

 

I am trying to find instructions on how to remove my tiptronic console from my 07 Cayman S. I want to check the cable end is secure and not worn as I am getting occasional 

 

Gear selector not engaged

Message on the display. I can find many for the manual box but nothing apart from a great diagram and description of how to get the kn*b off from a person called Loren so I thought I would come here and ask. I only need to get as far as the end of the transmission cable but any info you have on getting this whole thing out without breaking it would be great

Well after finding some good information here and a bit of heart in mouth prying I got it out. Here are my notes as they may help other attack this problem
