CASCADING 4W/D PSM ABS BRAKES ENUNCIATORS

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

Please advise, I have an '04 Cayenne S for almost 1 year and I am using the IcarSoft i960 scanner. Recently had the suspension pump replaced at European Auto Wurks. I cannot communicate with the PSM ecu for starters. The above issue resets and fails on every drive. When I access DTC, KESSY, GATEWAY, and XFER CASE I get the code ( 1316 PSM CONTROL MODULE) in all of these windows.

I verified good voltage on the fairly new battery. Replaced all 4 wheel speed sensors. There is no water ingress evidence beneath the floor boards. Verified brake fluid level. Cleaned both MAF Sensors. Verified no corrosion at ABS pump/ PSM module connector. Removed cover of the Xfer case motor and inspected brushes and look to have much life left. OBD II Faults cleared: P0021, P0501, P0507, P0306. Did not reoccur. Vehicle operates fairly normal while in failed mode. Thank you.
