Switch (Trac control) configuration

That was my thinking also.

A follow on question to someone that has removed the Silver Horseshoe collar on the shifter. I've read the Rear Console removal instructions, but still am wondering how to release/remove the holdown for the boot under this silver collar.

Any words of wisdom?

thx, Mike

I just checked with my Boxster friend who had traction control but got rid of his car last year. He does not remember if the switch can rock in both directions like the other switches,

Just grab the horseshoe with your fingers from the back and lift up. It is held in place with 4 small plastic clips. That shift has a set screw so you need a 5mm allen wrench to loosen it a few turns. Jeff

The TC switch works like all the other dash switches. You push the "fat" end to turn TC off and the switch goes back to neutral. You push the "skinny" end and the TC switches back on. You can push the fat or the skinny end mulitple times and it won't do anything (in other words, the fat end is not an ON/OFF switch - you push one side to turn it OFF and the other side to turn it ON).
