Internal Engine Cleaner

Recommended Posts

Have any of you guys used the Kano labs product Kreen (Internal Engine Cleaner) in your 911s? I’ve used it with good results on other vehicles but would like to make sure it’s ok to use it in a Porsche. Don’t want to hurt the cat or any other internal components.

Thanks,

gcp

doncapecod,

go to http://www.kanolabs.com/ and read their explanations. I for one noticed reduced oil consumption in my Ranger and better drivability. I know, drivability is a seat of the pants indicator but it counts with me. Getting ready to do my 94 Audi 100 as we speak.

Don't know if Porsche makes a cleaner or not.

Thanks,

gcp

Thanks for the link. I've been going the age-old concept of changing brands of fuel every other fillup. IOW the rationale is that since each manufacturer has a different formula, by changing brands (same octane obviously), the differences in the formulations sort of keep the engine clean(er). It may be an "old wives tale" type of thing, but it's been a habit of mine for years.

I am on the different side of the story., I actually hated Chevron stuff., it seem the car is lacking whenever I use it.

I now use 76.,., they do not add any MTBE in there....

doncapecod,

I also practice the same principle but at least once per month I'll run some Chevron gas through all my vehicles. I like their products a lot!

mtimmy, there's never a shortage for varying opinions and that's what makes life interesting I guess. As long as one determines what works best for them.....

Never quite used 76 but I'll give it a try.

Thanks,

gcp
