Can Hi-Fi be removed from dash?

Recommended Posts

On the bottom section of my console is (1) cubby hole and (1) EQ unit with the hi-fi buttons, etc.

Is this something I can remove without affecting the system? I want to install a GPS monitor in that space. The cubby hole will just "pop" out,......it is the hi-fi EQ I am worried about.

I saw a message from a guy who removed it for the GT3 console delete with no problems. But another guy said when he removed the connectors from the back of the DSP unit he lost power to the radio, and there was a question if it also needed to be disconnected from the back of the radio.

So, you are going to have to do the test. Unplug it and see if the radio still powers up. You could also leave it hooked up and just stick it behind the front console as there is plenty room back there. Jeff
