door storage lid removal

Did a search but need a little more info....

Just got new alu- look door storage lids and want to install them myself. I popped off the handles to change to alu but am not sure how to get the door lid off- I see a pin at one end of the inside hinge. Do I just pull the pin out? Having trouble grasping onto the pin.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I can help you this weekend.. I had mine fixed last year.. so I know how..

may be you can show me about my new short shift replacement while we are working on yours.. :D
