2003/04 factory sport exhaust

The orignial factory sport exhaust may not work on a 2003+ as the bypass pipes are in the way of the extensions to the rear bumper cover.

This is the original sport exhaust. Pic from Rich.

The pipes are now tucked in. To clear the bumper extensions.

Another view. Looks like you can put on the bolt on 2.7 or 3.2 tip.

For sale on German ebay.

Update. I contacted the seller in Germany and the exhaust is only for sale there, but he hopes to export to the US. He is in a small village South of Stuttgart and says it sounds better than the 996 sport exhaust. I then asked on the German Boxster board and they know the seller and the exhaust. It is a pre-2003 sport exhaust that has been modified for better sound and so that it works on a 2003/04. It is not Porsche part number 000 044 200 20.

I also asked about this exhaust on a German Boxster message board. http://www.staunet.de/phpBB2/viewtopic.php...&highlight=

Send one over and our local Boxster group can put in the Frankenstein exhaust ourselves - we know how to do it. :P

Does an upgrade to the Sport Exhaust add any additional HP to Boxster 97? If so how much approximately. The service guy at the dealer is telling me would add an additional 15%, which i don't belive. Is $2450.00 installed a good price?

Thank you.
