Questions for real experts (no I don't qualify and don't have the answers but I tried search and couldn't find answer):

1. in 2008 for the 3.4L engine/drivetrain in Cayman S and Boxster S are there any part numbers that are different?

2. Is the computer code in the ECU any different for the Cayman S than for the Boxster S?

please forgive the double post, but no one on boxster part of the forum came up with any answers

I am no expert. But, I think for your question:

#1) If there are any part numbers that are different, I'd be surprised, and there would be very few at that

#2) There are many codes in the ECU. Most are probably the same.

Can you be more specific in your line of questions? What are you trying to acheive and/or accomplish?

Some have claimed the plenums were different - if so I would assume the ECU coding was different, but was trying to get a clearer picture of whether there are differences or not.

Call Sunset Porsche (503-641-8600) parts department, and ask them if the plenum part numbers are different.
