  1. I'm rebuilding my engine due to the dreaded piston slap problem. I have 103500 miles on the transmission. I'm planning on replacing the valve body as routine maintenance. My question is what is the realistic expected life of a cayenne transmission with a new valve body? Is it worth having the whole transmission rebuilt instead? I'm planning on keeping this car for a long time and I do not want to go through disconnecting the transmission and engine again.
  2. My Cayenne is suffering from the dreaded scorn cylinder slap. I'm sending the block to US Chrome to recoat and hone the cylinders. Where can I find the torque specs for the engine components?
  3. I have an 06 Cayenne S with quite a few miles miles and I came across a low mile 04 Cayenne S transmission I'm considering tranferring into my car.. The 04 transmission has the old transmission control. Is the updated transmission control in my 06 backwards compatable to the older transmission or will I need to install the control from the old car'? Would there be any compatability issues with the rest of the cars computers if I use the old conraol in my car?
  4. Tat is what I ordered however it does not meet the LT71141 spec on the Porsche sheet. That is a Shell TF-0870 fluid. Can this fluid be substituted for the Esso spec fluid?
  5. I purchased the OEM differential oils for the front and rear end and through ecs tuning I was directed to OEM part#00004330136 ATF for the transfer case TF 0870. This is a different fluid and spec than the 00004320509 listed above. Is this a revised spc for the transfer case or was I provided with the wrong fluid?
