Thanks again for the info! I appreciate your assistance!
Ahh, sure didn't... It's a 1999 Boxster Base. Does this mean any H7 bulb will work? Do some run cooler than others? Thanks!
Thanks for the reply! Do you know what the factory recommended bulb is? I live in a very hot climate, and I want to make sure I don't burn the lenses ? Thanks!
Yeah, my desire here is definitely to ensure proper lighting and the safest levels for both me the driver and the rest of the people on the road... Should I stick with halogen bulbs then? If so, what halogens will run cool enough to not cause browning/melting of my new clean lenses? If I really wanted to do an upgrade to some other form of light, do you have any recommendations for the upgrade? Is the Pelican Parts link I provided in the OP inclusive of the proper lens, or would any light other than the OEM halogen require the baking of the headlight in order to separate and replace the lens? Is there anyone on the forums or who I can contact that is willing to do this for a price? Thanks!
Greetings! I recently bought some replacement halogen assemblies to replace my browned/burned headlights. I'm going to use the halogens that are currently in the headlights, but am wondering what the best option is these days for HID, LED/Projector replacement. Above all else, I don't want to melt my lenses, and I want to maintain the stock look of the car, cause ya know, it's gonna be a collectors edition one day ? The most recent topics I've seen are at least 4 years old... So far I've seen Pelican's Xenon/HID retrofit kit: https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/STHIDH96000.htm?pn=ST-HID-H9-6000&SVSVSI=1054 and Pedro's Garage TechnoLite HID: http://pedrosgarage.com/Site_2/TechnoLite_HID.html Thoughts?
