  1. Thanks, Loren. Since I live close to GHL, they are stepping up to the plate and are going to take a look at it next week. Steve in AZ
  2. Thanks, I'll try that. Somebody else suggested the same thing to me yesterday at work, but unfortunately it was raining so hard on the way home from work yesterday that the exhaust was almost stone cold when I got home. Here's hoping for warm dry weather today :) Steve in AZ
  3. Were the new clamps just generic ones, or specific Porsche ones?
  4. I have a GHL exhaust on my 01 996 C2. I think there is a small leak around where the exhaust joins on to the cat outlet pipes. The symptoms are as follows: When cold starting, and there is condensation coming out of the tailpipes, there is also condensation seeping out of the join. It is also much louder when cold, and it gets quieter as the exhaust warms up - I assume because the pipes expand with the heat and make a better seal. The advice I'm looking for is - what's the best way to fix this problem? I have checked the bolts on the connections and they are as tight as I can get them. Is there anything I can put in the joints to make them seal better? Any ideas? Steve in AZ
  5. I had this problem as well. Sometimes it's a blown fuse (location E6). This fuse controls a vent solenoid that opens when you put the gas nozzle in. If the fuse has blown and the vent does not open, you get this same symptom, with gas everywhere but in the tank. Since checking the fuse costs nothing and replacing it costs cents, it's worth a check :) Steve in AZ
  6. I'm at work right now, but I will take one this evening and post it. Steve in AZ
  7. Car: 2001 Carrera Coupe, Tip There are two plastic electrical connectors behind the battery in the front compartment. I'm not sure what they connect to... The driver's side one has some corrosion on it (it doesn't look like battery acid corrosion, just normal corrosion of the aluminum connectors inside the plastic part). I don't know if this is causing any problem, but after I noticed it this evening I took the plastic connector apart and cleaned the electrical connections just to be sure. Anyone know... a] what these two connectors connect to? and b] has anyone had any corrosion problems in this area? c] are there any symptoms I should be on the lookout for? Thanks in advance, Steve in AZ
