  1. It helps to carry a large trash bag to put it in since it needs to go in the passenger compartment. Thats what I had in my Boxster. There's a guy at the Cayman Register that showed a rather inelegant mounting on the engine cover/rear trunk with the decklid secured with bungi-cords. Works for short distances when you have a passenger. I guess its "any port in a storm"! Judi
  2. Is this the skinny inflated tire? I thought they were too tall to close the hood properly? And that the collapsed tire (that needed to be inflated) was a better choice. Can you report on the total diameter of this spare? Thanks. Judi
  3. No they didn't. It was determined that since my model year (2000) didn't have belt tensioners it was a corrupted control module.
  4. Thanks Mike. I had been pointed to your website earlier but I don't have codes 45 through 49. Judi
  5. I just ordered new receptacles. I'm hoping that will do the job! Judi
  6. I've read the TSB and it applies to codes 45, 46, 48, 49. It reads there was a production change (8/27/99) for Zuffenhausen production from WP0...YS620308. My car is 620317. Would the codes still be triggered if the latches were not inserted into the buckles? Thanks, Judi
  7. I picked up contact cleaner and dielectric grease. I have my car all apart so I can easily get to the grounds and plugs under the seats. I've cleaned everything well and applied some grease. I ran the Durametric process and the codes cleared for a nano second. Same as above, 23, 25, 64, 72. This car does not have the pretension style belts on either end, receptacle or belt winder. As you might expect I'm a bit lost. I believe there is a sensor under the front bumper to detect an impact and trigger the airbags. Is this a possibilty? Any other clues I can try? Thanks, Judi
  8. Thank you so much! I'll check that out. I hope I didn't err in replying to another post with a similar issue 😯
  9. I know this is somewhat old but my 2000 Boxster has thrown Belt Tensioner codes 24 and 25 (per Durametric scanner) for driver and passenger seats. Am I correct in assuming my car only has the tensioner at the buckle? This car had been in an accident where the airbags deployed, to the best of my knowledge. I also have code 64 Passenger Seat Occupancy Detector as well as Child Seat Detector. Are these separate sensors? Under the seat? Thanks for any help you can provide! Judi
  10. Hi, I connected the Durametric scanner since my airbag light ha been on for a while. (I forget we had one) I cleared the codes but the light came back on. The codes shown are: 23 Belt tensioner Driver 25 Belt tensioner Passenger 64 Seat Occupancy Detector Passenger 72 Child Seat Detector Can anyone provide any info as to what the issue I need to look at? I've read that the contacts at the buckle and the plug under the seat can oxidize so I will get some cleaner to spray on them. Thanks, Judi 2000 Boxster
