  1. I have a 996 with the exact same codes. what was the fix to yours? TIA.
  2. Hi all, I recently was able to start my 996 4S after months of being sitting unused waiting for an stipulated ignition lock cylinder and keys to arrive from Stuttgart. I drove it around my block and sure enough I get warnings and codes. One warning I get is “Tiptronic emergency run” and code P1702. I erased the codes with Durametric and as soon as start the car again I get the same warning and code. I did the voltage test and wiring appears to be all good. Diagnosis sheet suggests replacing the TCM if wiring voltage test is all ok. Do these TCMs need to be programmed and possibly mine just needs to be reprogrammed? or given the codes I get my TCM is fried and I do need to replace it? is there other things I can check before replacing the TCM like perhaps checking wiring connections at the transmission itself? TIA.
  3. I know is an old thread but, how did you fix your issue? I have the exact same issue with my ‘04 C4S.
