  1. Amazing...Still the original clutch...it seems that 996TT are much more reliable than 996 carreras...(From my experience, both were bulletproof but from the topics here...)
  2. It seems that you are well aware of the 996TT...Could you please tell us your experience about reliability? In 160000miles,how many times did you change the clutch?what failures did you have?Would you buy the same car again? What about the life of the turbos,or the engine...Thank you for sharing...
  3. I just bought my new car and I am very excited with it...996 turbo '03 with lots of extras in mint condition with only 44000km...
  4. It should be free...In order to keep you as a customer...It is a 2 minute job...Do it while changing oils so to pay him for something...
  5. Hello there....i was wondering if someone could tell me what hp is the motor M9670-643 variation...is it 420hp or 450hp?
  6. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the operations that the PCM2 is capable of...Is there a way to view TV?Does the unit plays DVDs or MP3s?And finally, does Porsche have any DVD maps for Greece?
  7. I had a dension gateaway 500 connected to CDR-23 on my boxster...It was operating great...The CDR saw the dension as a CDC...When first operated after the programming, press the reset button on the dension...otherwise poor sound quality should appear...
  8. And in Europe,as well, all porsches have 3 keys...2 primary with remote operation and one without...
  9. According to 9ff and other tuners they tune the 911TT to 580-600hp by the use of the GT2 turbos and intercoolers...They just change the exhaust system and remap the ecu...I ve driven a 9ff 580hp last year and it was awesome...(I had the Boxster then)Is this stage of modification reliable?Does anyone here own sucha 911TT to tell us any problems in reliability?
  10. Loren,I am a little lost here and I could use your help...standard turbo uses kkk k16 turbos.GT2 and X50 turbo cars use kkk k24 turbos...Is that right?
  11. So when a car has X50 from factory option,it has many differences in comparison with a stock 996tt...Not only turbos and intercoolers...
  12. I plan to make the car to produce about 600hp which I believe is the top power without opening the engine...K24 turbos are essential for this purpose...However Istill have my doubts about PCCB...In another topic Loren stated that if the PCCBs are version 1,it is better to stay with the steel ones, but if they are version 2 they are good...How can I find out what version is fitted?
  13. Thank you guys for your replies...But does the X50 have a different exhaust from the standard one?I am aware that the GT2 has a different exhaust from the turbo.Loren thanks for the prices of the brakes...I should doublecheck the condition of the rotors...
  14. Hello there...I just sold my loved 996C2C '02 and I am about to buy a 996TT '03.The car has the optional X50 power package and PCCB...Should I go for PCCB or find another car with stock brakesWhat are the disadvantages of them,if any? Also the X50 package includes only turbochargers and intercoolers or exhausts and reprogramming of the ECU as well?
  15. Sorry, I have never seen a PSE (only install) produce any HP gain. Loren, I installed the PSE and went through dyno runs...I will scan the results so that everyone can see them...2 dyno runs on the same day, same time same temperature...It seemed strange to me as well for the power increase just with the PSE...
  16. Hello there...My 996 3.6 was measured at 302hp when completely stock...With porsche sport exhausts,KN air intake system and remap ECU the car produced 329hp...It is a difference of 27hp...If you buy only the exhausts you will gain 7hp and 1kgm torque throughout the whole rpm range...
  17. Loren is right...as always...Every Porsche and every BMW M that I owned, create a rattling sound when idle, with a lightweight flywheel installed...A very easy way to avoid this voise is to slightly push the gear lever in front(3rd gear),when you are stationary in neutral.
  18. Thank you all for your replies...Do the kuhmo tires have N rating?Or it is not essential and it is only for pricing purposes?Michael I ve tried also contisport contact2 tires on the M roadster and were fine...However the Pirellis seemed better, more reliable for high speed cruising...
  19. Hello there...I am about to change tires and I was wondering what brand should be the best...My car was wearing pirelli p zero rosso, and I am thinking of byuing the same...My previous Porsche had dunlop sp 9090...I thing thay the pirellis are slightly better...Any opinions?
  20. Hello guys...9000km on the clock with the kn filter on and still no CEL,not even a single hesitasion...Very happy with the kit...
  21. On the inner side of the fuel reffiler cap a porsche sticker says...For 18inch tires,36 for the front and 44 for the rear...I am not so fool to read the sidewall...!!!!
  22. Guys thanks for the response...In 44 psi,the car feels like a baloon at the rear...I believe the best pressures are 36 front and 40 rear...I ve used dunlop sp max and pirelli p zero and both were performing fine...Maybe the pirelli is slightly better, but it won't last as long as the dunlop...
