  1. I am having an issue with a brand new Boxster S with optional 20" wheel and PDK. When turning left or right (full lock) at low speeds the car hops significantly. Very similar to 4 wheel diff lock on dry pavement. I am wondering if this is expected due to the large OEM wheel options or a potential real mechanical issue. Any opinion suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance. Andrew
  2. Can anyone assist to verifiy if an oem set of 18" x 8 with 57MM would fit a 09 Turbo S? My concern is brake clearance. I am just looking for a set of snow tires and wheels and have a friend with MY 08 OEM 18" wheels. Any help appreciated, thanks in advance. Andrew
  3. I have a bit of confusion regarding the correct tire pressure settings on my MY08 Cayenne S. I am currently running Porsche OEM 20" summer tires. I have found that door sticker recommends front and rear air pressure at value X and the TPMS setup screen recommends value Y. Which is the correct? I am currently running the TPMS recommended values. Thanks for your assistance. Andrew
  4. So if we consider the the 911 as 996 and 997 etc. And Boxsters as 986 and 987. Is the Cayenne considered a 9PA and 9PA1, or is it considered a 955 and 957? I am just looking for clarification. Thank You
  5. I just purchased a MY08 CPO Cayenne S. :) I dont take delivery for 2 more days. I have question regarding the Bose Surround radio. Does anyone know if it supports SACD or DTS CD's? Thank You, Andrew Opicka
  6. Any ides what a rebuilt transmission costs? Thank You, Andrew
  7. Yesterday, I took a test drive in a MY01 Porsche Boxster. The car has 77k, it appears the car wasn't maintained as well as some mechanically. It appears it needs brakes and possibly a new clutch. The shift gate has a lot of physical play when in gear and it appears to want to pop out of gear very easily. Do you think replacing the clutch will eliminate this issue or is this only the beginning of a bigger problem? Also when first started valve noises could be heard very load, however after a short run this seems to have disappeared - any concern? Note: The car had not been started in several months. Can anyone provide me with some rough estimates (parts only) for some of these repairs so I can make a reasonable offer? Thanks in Advance, Andrew
  8. Does anyone have a diagram for removal of the front Spoiler? Thanks in advance. Andrew
  9. Is there a 2007 997-1 GT3 Maintenance CheckList available. I checked the Maintenance CheckList section but do not see the list for the 997. Thank You, Andrew
  10. I just did my lugs in Wurth. Very good Match. Make sure to shop around on the net you can find it in a kit that includes the clear as well.
  11. Congrats on the new baby. I am planning to replace my MINI for a Cayenne for the same reason. I am looking as well and have done alot of research on the topic. My personal opinion is that you are better off with a 05 Cayenne S, then a 04 Cayenne Turbo. From what I have found the 05's where vastly improved with regards to reliability and tire wear issues. Your best bet is an 06 or 06 Titanium package (lots of standard options). Also in your search remember that 07 where never made. So your choices will be 2006, 2008, 2009. I plan to wait till spring assumeing 06 and 08 will be rolling out of leases. If you PM me what your looking for I can keep my eyes out for you. Andrew
  12. Thanks for your Opinions. I have it scheduled for service next week. Andrew
  13. I recently noticed something "possibly" odd about my 2003 911 C2. After the engine/oil is to normal operating temperature I noticed that oil pressure gauge is between 4 and 5 in six gear, about 2k rpm, around 65 MPH. I noticed that every so often I get a blip on the oil gauge. Essentially similar to a pulse or surge however not an extreme variation (maybe 1/4 mark up or down). I am wondering if this is normal or something to be concerned about as my CPO warranty runs out in 1 month. Thanks for any advice. Andrew
  14. Does anyone have any links to a good Boxster Buyers Guide? I am looking at a MY97 wondering what to look for. Thanks in advance, Andrew Opicka
  15. I have a 01 Boxster S that has a strange rear spolier issue. The rear spoiler raises and lowers as it should automatically and manually, however on startup the light is on untill the car is moved. Once the car registers MPH the light disappears without issue. Is this normal? Any sensors or micro switches to check. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You, Andrew
  16. From what I have heard yes, again "from what I have heard". Narrow body wheels are interchangeable with box wheels. If they are some special set wait for a Gu to reply. Thanks for the reply that is what I had heard as well. If anyone can confirm I would appreciate it. I'd rather find out now before I buy them. Thanks, Andrew
  17. Will an 01 Boxster S OEM Wheel fit on a 03 911C2 with out issues? I was was planning to run them as a winter wheel set. Thanks in advance. Andrew Opicka
