  5. This is the first oil leak I experienced on this car. Car has just under 10k miles. The oil leak from one of the pulley (with rusty bolt) at the rear of the car. Please see below pictures. Do you know if it is FMS leak? My next track event will be in 2 weeks. Can I fix it after the track event? How many labor hours do I expect from the dealer? I am not afraid if someone can provide a precedures. thx Mike
  6. I found crack in both of the rear -lower control arm dust boots. Ball joints still work good. Wonder if the dust boot is replaceable and where to buy it? thx Mike
  7. Need some help from 996 experts. I have a 03 C4S manual and in a process of setting up a G2X data logger. Can anyone provide the gear ratios for each of the 6 gears?
  8. Wanting to lube the brake pistons next time I service the brakes. Can you recommend what grease I should be using? thx
  9. Recently, I experienced similar problem! Can anyone let me know where the oil pressure sender unit locates? Hopefully, Just a loose wire. thx M
  10. Here is the custom made quick connect harness bar that I had on my car before I installed the Roll Bar. This is made of 316 stainless, very strong. I can take it in and out in a few minutes. The end adaptor has S.S. bushing which allows seat beat to swivel.
  11. GranburyChuck, the X pipe is a good investment. It is lighter, sound a bit louder and most important that the car felt faster. M M Off the subject but how do you like the x-pipe? I am needing to replace my cat and was thinking of this option.
  12. After installing the fabspeed x-pipe sport cat. The car has a fault code of P0160-O2 sensor behind cat converter-bank 2. Where is this O2 sensor locates? Is it in between the manifold and cat or cat and muffler? Is the cat from driver or passenger side? thx M
  13. Hi! Not an expert, but I do have PSS10s and this does not sound at all like mine. How much drop do you think they went for? Perhaps you are hitting the stops. Just a guess. Yeah, i originally thought that since i couldn't fit my finger in between the tire and fender, so I had them raised .5" and can now fit a finger between the tire and fender with 26" tall tires. The ride did get better but the bounce is still there. When I got the car, they were set on full stiff (past 10 where the dial won't turn anymore), i've heard this can damage them?? Hmm. I had a question a while back and had a nice chat with the team at Billstein. Took just a couple of emails to get a real technical expert. To "zero" the settings, it turns out you actually tighten them all the way and then just back off one click. This is "10." The clicks are pretty close, but not sure that full stiff would have damaged them. Worth a call to the experts I guess. Isn't it 10 is softest and 1 is stiffest? It is the case for PSS9 9=soft clockwise, 1=stiff counterclockwise.
  14. Anyone changed spark plugs on a C4S? I removed the 2 bolts for the shield. There isn't enough room to remove the plate! It looks like I may have to remove the muffler and the muffler bracket. Any comment? thx Mike
