  1. Great work on finding the regulator over at the Benz shop. Porsche does not list it seperately. You wouldn't happen to have any info on the rectifier being available at the Benz shop too would you? Eric
  2. There is a pre-2000 and 2000/newer MAF. The newer version is supposed to be more robust and not foul as easily. However, putting the newer version in a pre-2000 car requires a DME re-map per a Porsche tech info bulletin.
  3. Because much of the problem on these tanks is heat, the oil filler tube also fails as it is in the same (not well ventilated) area. I really really lucked out as my dealer replaced both a month before my warranty ran out ( I had a failed filler tube and a very small tank leak). I just wanted to raise the issue of checking the filler tube when you have the tank out and easy access to the oil tube.
  4. If you read Toolpants post he says they do NOT jack on strut bars. They place jack stands at the spots marked with the yellow "X" they do NOT jack there. I use the standard jacking points as does Toolpants, and then use the same areas marked with a yellow "X" for the placement of jack stands. http://members7.clubphoto.com/eric520065/7...wner-ef36.phtml
