  1. The 2 bottom right corner. Yo can get them on ebay. The orange tools may com handy as well.
  2. I took off the strut and when I open the engine lid is like the strut has never been there, it opens to the same mini gap. Think is the strut. Will replace it.
  3. Drivers side center passenger side No sign anything has been moved. Original paint on the nuts is intact.
  4. Moved the lock mechanism as deep/down as it goes but no cigar. Guess the next step may be the strut. Thanks
  5. 996, MY99, manual, C2, Coupe, manual hood/trunk release. How big is the gap between the tuck lid and body when you first open the engine lid? In mine there is hardly room to insert the fingers. Is that normal or the shock needs replacement? The pic shows the gap after pulling the engine lever. Thanks.
  6. "...if I go from neutral to get another gear (usually first second or reverse)"... "... had a new clutch a few thousand miles ago...". These comments made me think it was a manual.
  7. "Porsche uses a unique full synthetic gear oil that is made for them to their specs, which no other manufacturer use." How about Mobil Delvac 75w-90? Isn't the transmission oil the same as the gear oil?
  8. Where can you get OEM clips ( by the bag full)? The dealer charges an arm and a leg for those clips regardless of what clip.
  9. This is a AVH-P3200DVD, no BT, no navigation, no rear camera yet (future DIY) . My Tundra has the same head unit and a rear camera. It works great, but get a good camera though. http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/19074-new-dvd-navigation-install/ The above link may be of some help.

  11. This is the one I used for mine, no GPS though. I have a Pioneer AVH-P3200DVD. There are several posts in regards to Double Din DIY. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Metra-95-9603-Double-DIN-Installation-Kit-for-Select-04-11-Porsche-911-Boxster-/360853602527?pt=US_Car_Audio_Video_Dashboard_Installation_Kits&hash=item54048d00df&vxp=mtr Hope the info helps.
  12. Thanks. So, most likely is because the alarm horn is not connected. Can I use this horn (see pic)? Is 12 volts disk horn similar to the factory one.
  13. Trying to change the VERSION (coding) of the automatic door lock under the Alarm module with PST2, when selecting CODING under such module I'm getting Function can only be performed after automatic search, I changed the version from 4 to 2 some time ago and did not get that message. Do have the alarm horn disconnected since is no good. Could that be the reason? Thanks
  14. Hi All: Remote not opening doors/activating alarm ( 996/ MY 99/6 speeds/ C2). The remote, 1 button, when pressed flashes but doors won't lock. Tried new battery, reset, manually opened car, pressed remote's button...no cigar. Opened manually, inserted in ignition switch, turned to start, pressed button... no cigar. With the PST2, how can I check if the locking /alarm control unit/s is recognizing the remote signal? Thanks
  15. Ok, here it is. Removed fuse #6 row A and also covered the empty connectors with tape to be on the safer side.
