  1. thanks for the feedback! I love the "Home Depot Yellow" comment, pretty funny. But as for the painting part, I was thinking it had to be done by professionals, but since you did yourself, I am not so sure...But as I thought about this more and more, I realized that I dont know who "the professionals" should be? Should I take this to a body shop or a wheel shop? If they want an arm and a leg, I think I will just get new rims..... CosmosC4S: When are you doing yours?
  2. wow 10 dollars? we dont have to use special paint or anything? these will be my everyday wheels and I would not want them to start peeling and such. what did you use to get the paint on the wheel? spray gun?
  3. you going to do them yourself? I was thinking it had to be done by painters. is this a DIY? what kind of tools are you going to use?
  4. Hi all, I am thinking about painting my turbo twist wheels. I would paint them black with the outside ring speed yellow. Where would I go to get this done? I live in Orlando, FL and would be very helpful if someone can recommend someone. Does anyone know how much this would cost? I have attached two pictures that I found on another forum(if they belong to you, sorry, but for some reason they will not let me register at that forum and ask for permission) And as always, thanks in advance.
  5. He called you a little girl? that would ***** me off, go get an attonery and sue the crap out of them, that will teach them to call people a little girl.....
  6. i have a 996 C4 1999, just got it, jsut did the 45K service.... hopefully nothing else happens as I understand it cost an arm and a leg to fix anything.....
  7. Thanks all for the reply, I am glad i was not the only one, (brought mine used, was starting to think i got ripped off).... I will definitely try the posted tricks.... I guess its not that crazy as it was just a couple of drops, but its still disappointing.... once again thanks....
  8. I have search the forum and I guess I am the only one here with this problem. I have a 1999 C4 Cab and I live in Orlando,FL and drove through the rain today and I felt drops of water on my arm!!! When I got home, I checked around the edge and that is where its coming from (my finger is pointing to where the water was dripping) I pulled back the plastic and its wet behind it. Does anyone know if this is normal? Anyone know how to get it fixed? Thanks in advance for the guidence.
  9. Hi, I have tried searching for the part number (996.552.989.03.M31) I have come up with nothing, should I just email sunset? Thanks
  10. thank you so much, wow 400+ for a piece of tirm.... that is crazy.... has anyone tried the dash kits on ebay? would that work here?
  11. hi Loren, Thanks for the quick reply. It is the piece above the defroster next to the windshield. Only the passenger's side is broken, the driver's side remain in tact. (they are separated by the infared system) I have take some more pictures to help locate the exact part. Also, I got the car used and it came with limited materials. The color of the wood tirm is dark ( i have taken a close up of the wood in hopes that you can guide me in the right direction) Does this thing happen alot? Am i the lucky one here?
  12. Hi, I have a 1999 996 and the wood dash kit part broke. I am not very good at explaining where this part is so i took some pictures. Can anyone please tell me what this part is (part Number) so that I can buy a replacment. I tried using super glue to keep it from sticking up and it does not work.... Some please help... PS i dont know how this broke, I live in FL and I am thinking it was the sun that cracked it and melted the adesive? Thanks in advance!
  13. ok, sorry. I emailed them and they will not email me back. Is there any other way?
