Sorry, must disagree, the LWF is a must! Makes a huge difference in motor spool up, quicker response AND less weight on the crank to boot. The little extra "chatter" when the clutch is not depressed is worth the rest of the experience. Also frees up power since you're not using necessary power to turn a heavy FW. DO IT!
Bill, if you're just looking to tighten up the suspension a little as well as be a little lower, just go the HD route. The PSS9's are junk IMO. I have them on my car and am not impressed. The quality is not there anymore, the adjustments are a pain and hard to feel. For the same $$, you could go with JIC Cross brand and get a better product (for what I know), upper camber plates and be way ahead of the game. For half the $$ go with the HD's and H&R. You won't get as low as with the more adjustable suspension kis (9's or JIC), but it sounds like you just want to go for a nice safe ride on the w/e's, not tear up the track. Save your money for other mods, and a good alignment .......HD's
If it weren't for the Tip, that would be a steal. Having said that, the asking price is probably right on. There have been quite a few trading hands lately for the mid $50k and with 30k miles +/-, so to pick up a C2S in the 40's, you won't go wrong......other than the effects of the auto tranny.
I hadn't had any problems with my VC's and they have been dry since I did the gaskets, so I can't help you with the aftermarket VC's. I would suggest though that if you still run your engine under tray, get rid of it. Thats what has warped your covers. They retain so much heat and just cook everything on the motor's bottom.
