  1. In fact a battery reset removed the CEL and everything is absolutely fine again, so seems the MAF simply gave up the ghost. Might be not a bad idea for people to carry a spare MAF around just incase as the car was barely driveable without it working
  2. I replaced the MAF and everything seems completely fine, so looks like it was a MAF that went bad, just need to removes the codes from the CEL and trust they don't return
  3. OK so I installed a new exhaust last weekend with 100 cell Cats, All was fine for a couple of days and then suddenly whlist sat at some traffic lights the engine check light came on the idle suddenly went and stayed extremely rough. The error messgae is "E GAS Throttle Idle Air Control" - have I simply blow the MAF ? or is it likely something else

  9. If you search on google under "996 turbo instrument console oil level measurement" it throws up a few interesting posts
  10. Sounds like you have the same problem as me, if you trawl the web its almost 210% certainly the cluster when you have replaced the measurement unit, I would ideally like someone to repair my cluster as it can be done
  11. Palo Alto don't do 996 Cluster consoles it seems, North Hollywood never really responded to my emails
  12. thanks but I guess the instrument console just needs repairing or the appropriate circuit board does, whats the most effective way to get this done ? Can the part be bought for example
  13. Ok so I did something really stupid and in a dark garage hooked up a new battery the wrong way round. Everything is fortunately sorted except the engine oil level measurer which I understand after several searches is a problem in the instrument console unit and I understand it can be fixed by replacing one of the circuit boards ??? Anyone know more please
  14. Indeed fabulous product you just need to lie upside down in the footwell with a torch pretty easy
  15. tx. anyway I can check it visually, is it easy to replace
  16. So after 4 months off the road, all is fine except I get the warning light for the Oil Level Measurement not functioning, any thoughts ? The Oil pressure gauge is good
