  1. Loren I have a 1998 996 with a Becker CDR 210 Radio and I am afraid I have lost the code ! Serial No is W5017402 Model No DX02280 Thanks for any help 996Toulouse.
  2. IMS Failures, I had the IMS fail on my '99 996 just 3 days after I bought it with 80K Kms on the clock ! Since then I have done a lot of research and concluded that cars that have spent long periods inactive are much more prone to this failure. For sure the original design is weak - that's why Porsche have changed it several times over the years, but long periods of inactivity are not good for an engine. I guess the advise is 'drive it every day' ! That's what I do. '99 996 C2 Coupé
  3. I have the possibility to source a Mk1 GT3 engine cover - My question is - will it fit my 996 C2, and what Mods will i need to do to make it fit. I am wondering about cooling fan and/or air intake location. thanks for any advice. 996 C2 3.4 6 speed Manual
  4. Thanks, I know the engine is different. At least on 1st inspection the silencers and cats seem to have very similar geometry, hence the query
  5. Hi, Can anyone tell me if 2003 996 GT3 RS exhaust cans will fit a standard C2 ? And will they make a better sound than standard cans ? Thanks 996 C2 Manual
  6. Do you have individual P/N's for the Shocks, Springs and Bars ? thanks
  7. I have a 1998 996 C2 Coupé and I am looking for P/N's for the RoW M030 suspension. Any help appreciated Thanks 996 C2 Coupé 6 speed - LHD in France
  8. Interesting - there is no switch in the pedal area on my car. Are you sure? If your Carrera has Cruise Control then you would have two switches on the brake pedal arm. I'm not 100% sure as everyone is telling me there should be a switch there ! But I have had a pretty good look without dismantling the dash and I cannot see one. The car does not have cruise control and I can see the location for that switch and the unused harness to connect. Anyone have a picture of where it is located ?
  9. Interesting - there is no switch in the pedal area on my car.
  10. I have a RoW 1998 3.4 996 coupe - the brake lights have stopped working How are the lights triggered on the 996 - I cannot find either a pedal switch or a pressure switch. I am guessing it's a faulty switch , or relay ? thanks 996Toulouse
