    After installing the AP Carbon Y-pipe in a 2010 Panamera Turbo, A short drive reveals fault code p006800 & p107100

    P107100

    NOX Sensor -G295- heating control signal Implausible signal

    Upper limit value exceeded

    (This Vehicle also has an aftermarket exhaust)

    P006800

    MAP/MAF - Throttle Position Correlation

    Value below lower limit value

    At this time i am unable to adapt the throttle body with durametric.

    ( although the function is shown [preview release 6.2] )

    Does the key on 1 min key off 10 s adaption work on the panamera?

    Unable to reach boost levels above .3 bar currently.... assuming this code forces a limp mode?

    (previous to this there was a minor vacuum leak also causing and additional maf code which has been since repaired)

    Please Advise and thanks in advance.....

  2. Like JFP said, coild packs dont make noise, at most an arching sound when they are bad and leak spark.... note that if your coils are cracked (which is common with these) you might start getting missfires in wet weather....

    As for the noise during startup now im thinking it is the starter motor... probably making a zinging noise just after you let go of the key like its not disengaging... This is also very common amongst porsche and v.a.g. starter motors... Look into that.....

    Ive seen starters still functioning reliably for a long while making the noise... but as a technician i would still recommend replacing it... if that is the noise of course...

  3. I don't usually like giving advice on brake repairs but first I would recommend the help of someone qualified...

    If you have ceramic rotors make sure not to chip the rotors!!! I would also invest in a brake pad / piston spreader. I would also recommend replacing the circular adhesive anti-rattle pucks, some poeple also use a hitemp paste in key areas. (make sure to not contaminate the lining surface!)

    Also recommend 4 new pad sensors - if they aren't worn through they often break during removal anyways.

    Front Calipers - top center pin holds the pads in. ( 2 Bolts hold the caliper if you are changing rotors)

    Rear Calipers - Usually the pads are loaded from the inside out and the calipers need to be removed.

    When changing the rear rotors you may have to back off the handbrake shoes through an access hole in the front of the rotor ( this needs to be re adjusted once the rotors are replaced.

    Note: Once the job is complete make to pump up the brake pedal - otherwise if you go for a test drive right away you might run over the neighbours kid!

  4. Hey everyone!

    Just wanted to share experience with the IPD plenum upgrade

    Cayman S came in with a full fab speed exhaust that we had installed previously for the IPD upgrade.

    Fairly easy install and the vehicle definitely feels " more crisp and responsive "

    The vehicle came back with a lumpy idle and CEL on with various missfire codes.

    Adaption step was missed! Cough cough... Adaptation carried out with an instant improvement and smooth idle. Remember to always adapt a TB when replacing it as mentioned by Loren in a variety of posts.

    Adaption

    Key on 1 min

    Key off 10 sec

    Check and erase faults.

  5. Worn parts are problem no 1. Also I see the ball ends cracking and failing all the time. I've seen them installed backwards. And timing issues of all sorts including motor driving past top closure. Often drive cable tubes stretch and then the cable can pop out then you have left n right sync issues.

    You might want to get another body to operate the top while you inspect the problems

  6. I've rarely seen problems with the b&m shifters...

    More often than not I've seen the cables pop out of the housing behind the shifter under the center consol.

    If your in there to check I recommend securing them with zip ties regardless.

    I usually drill a tinyhole on each side of the cable through the base plate and then you can get a tie wrap around each cable and eliminate ever having that issue.

  7. Thanks everyone... Quick update. 2006 997 cab/tip Problem: vehicle doesn't start in am, dead battery. Alternator and multiple batteries previously replaced. We found regulated voltage at battery low during charging system check. Approx 12.8v With our diag and some input from the forum we condemned the main battery cable from the tranny to the front firewall. With our diag and cable replacement was about 8 hours labour. Vehicle regulated voltage well over 13v. Another Porsche back on the road. Cheers!

    I have a 2006 997 Cab / Tip I'm dealing with right now..

    Battery going dead issues... new alt/battery.. Found I have major voltage drop from the alt to the batt...

    Some of my reading has lead me to beleive that there is a known issue with the 997 battery cables...

    Does anyone know more? Which cables/ Updated part numbers etc? Labour time?

    I've done some forum searching and scanned through the tsb's but havent found much.

  9. Make sure the door latch is working properly.... quick check is the dome light, if it doesnt always come on when you open the door thats a sure sign of a batch latch.

    This tricks the car into thinking the door is closed and lifts the window.

    My 2 cents.

    Not sure about the relay, and based by your post you have probably already tried this but here is a link that could help.

    Did you reprogram your windows, go down and hold for 10 sec and then go back up and hold for 10 sec? Mine has done what you talked about after replacing the regulator and reconnecting the battery (kind of freaky, lol), but stopped once the windows were reprogrammed.
