  1. Were you able to find out what was wrong? I'm just starting to see the same problem. Startup is fine, but once I get about a mile down the road and hit a stoplight it starts to stutter big time. I give it some gas and it seems to even itself out and the problem goes away. Almost seems like a wonky air/fuel issue but somehow corrects itself(?). :cursing: The first time this happened was about a week ago. It hasn't done it since until today. Looks like another trip to the dealer. Guess I can get my window regulators fixed again while I'm at it. -
  2. There's usually 2 things that will make the shudder (and it only happens between 65-70mph, not under and not above). 1. Wheels are not hubcentric. A lot of aftermarket wheels are not hubcentric so as to make the wheels fit a variety of cars. Usually they will provide a "ring" to place inside the wheel hub to match up with your car. Without this, it is impossible to "center" your wheel, thus causing vibrations around 70mph. Since you mention you have the Turbo wheels, I'm guessing they are factory and not aftermarket. Therefore, they should be hubcentric. If they are aftermarket clones, then I'm 99% sure that this is your problem. 2. Tires and/or wheels are out of round. Are the tires new? Did it just start doing this? Was your car parked for a long time and developed a flatspot? Regardless, sometimes a "speed balance" will help. -BlackBox
  3. I've just received a new aerokit from the dealer. However, they sent me the one that's for the base model and I have an '04 S. So much for specifically telling them... :censored: There's 2 different P/N's for the aerokit: 000 044 802 00 Base Boxster 000 044 802 01 Boxster S The only difference that I would imagine is the cutout in the front bumper for the third radiator. Everything else should be the same, correct? Side skirts are the same? Fitment for bumper and skirts the same (I'm not putting on the tail)? If so, I'll just have the body shop cut out the opening for the radiators instead of sending this thing back to the dealer. -BlackBox
  4. Yeah, I hear ya...speed costs $$$. BTW, good info you're posting. Keep it up! ----------- BlackBox
  5. :welcome: I'm also new to the Box scene. I've been lurking on all the forums and reading the archives trying to learn as much as I can. I'm pretty stoked that there are people like Tool Pants and Loren here in SJ. I missed the last Work On Cars day but I'm looking forward to checking out the next one! BlackBox
  6. I have to agree with rxbox and adsach. Your 264hp number seems very unrealisitc. My guess is at most a 15-20 rwhp gain from the chip, intake and muffller. And that's with running 93 octane in cool, dry weather; not hot and humid FL weather. However, since I'm new to the Box scene I could be wrong. :) I'm basing my experience from my previous (but similiar) car, the E36 M3. BTW, I'm not trying to rain on your parade...just being curious. BlackBox
