  1. All electrical things, like lights, dashboard, radio ( after I replaced fuse), hvac, headlights all work. Convertible top just clicks in the back, so I suspect it's relay. When I turn ignition key dashboard lights up. When I turn to start engine nothing visible happens and I don't hear anything. The headlights if are they are turned on will dim and there is nothing else going on.... Since relays and there are several visible above fuse box and some in the back are not easily testable and I lack electrical diagrams, I would not even venture into testing all of them. Thanks for the effort....
  2. I am a bit optimistic, engine was not running when charge was applied and I did not try to start it during the mishap. All other electronics seems to be working so I still hopeful that it's just a relay or some inline fuse. I had the same thing done to my toyota 10 years ago and there was master fuse that was burnt and everything else was ok. I was trying to avoid flatbeding car to a dealer. But it looks like Wed. I will call dealer for transportation... :cursing:
  3. check your user manuals. I had becker card with radio codes. Or call original dealer, they should have records
  4. While jump starting the car (it sat idle for 2 month) my dad reversed polarity on the cables while attaching it to the rear point ( in the engine bay). Now the starter does not work, but everything else seems to be working. I checked all the fuses related to the engine and they all ok. Blown radio fuse was replaced. There is a set of relays above fuse box, and I wonder if one of them is blown. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  5. takeout decklid and let it fade in the sun, so it matches.
  6. MY99 is C2 cab and other car was MY00 C2. Wires connection to MAF are done using rectangular plastic connector. The clamps for wires on MY99 are are on the narrow sides, while MY00 C2 has a single clamp on wide side....
  7. Try to swap MAF into MY99 with one from MY00 and struck out. Diffrent clamp types. Now I need part number for MY99 so I can scavenge internet... Help
  8. thanks. Great help as expected. Why does the dealer quoted me 1 hour of labor? 30 mins for screw?
  9. need a pic of where and how to replace MAF. Thanks in advance
  10. I had the same problem. Dealer did the adjustment on the latches in the back. I think you can tighten them
  11. Funny Kev. LOL "Or will it clear in the morning?" I am still waiting for my CE light to reset itself
  12. ssp, one word of advice, from archives, use proper tools and avoid stripping screws. I DID, PITA and ended paying dealer to drill them out
  13. Thunder, I think you should insist on getting one. Even if only for your records
