    Why is it necessary to keep an eye on the temp as you fill with new fluid? Can the fluid be added without checking the temp?

    I have a 1999 C2 with 44k miles. I bought this used from a Porsche dealership two years and have had very little problems. I am now worried about the dreaded engine problems that these cars have. I requested service records from the dealership which at first were very forthcoming with the request. Then, mysteriously, they could not access the information because they have a "New computer system". Is there any way to tell if the engine has been replaced by the serial number on the engine? Thanks in advance for any help. R.

    I just changes my coolant reservior and now I need to top off the coolant level. My car has the yellow coolant and I just bought the pink coolant from my Porsche dealership. Can I mix the new with the old or should I just take it in and have the dealership replace the coolant? R.

    I have a 99 c2 with factory aero kit. The taco wing and lid appear to be some sort of composite material. R.

    Will the M030 RoW Springs work with stock shocks and will springs designated for 1999 6-speed work with a tip car? R.

    I found a reely good article on the PSA website but it didn't address aftermarket springs and shocks. I am considering the Eibach springs but my previous experience with Eibach springs with factory struts/shocks (non p-cars) have given me really stiff rides.     Looking for feedback from people as to how you lowered your car and what kind of ride quality your getting. I love the way a lowered Porsche looks but my wife and I do a lot of weekend "Road Trips" logging 1500 miles or so. Don't really want a rough ride. By the way, we've had several Vettes and they don't come close to the comfortable ride of the 996. R.
